This model is a digital reconstruction of a ca. 1670s cratchet style earthfast agricultural building at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site. The site was the precursor to the modern day city of Charleston, located across the Ashley River from the present-day city and settled by European colonists in 1670. This model of the ca. 1670s earthfast building was created in Autodesk 3ds Max. A cutaway shows the interior framing and wattle of the structure.
